Up to £38,000 OTE Demonstrating a committed approach to good standard of driving on UK and European roads, complying with the working time directive and driving hours, a commitment to excellent customer service including proactive communications and relationship building with all customers, suppliers and colleagues. Combined with an emphasis on proactively looking for opportunities of growth, development and applying efficiency to the role at all times. proactively support the team with the day to day running of the department, including but not limited to: Complying with the working time directive and driver’s hours including correct and proper use of digi cards Customer Service: familiarise and comply with all relevant SOP’s so that the customer requirements are understood and ensure that deliveries and collections are completed in a timely manner and that you arrive at the customer premises well presented at all times and that you are polite, courteous and helpful. Work collaboratively with fellow colleagues, supervisors and managers being, being supportive, sharing the work load, obtaining support where required and being flexible to changing circumstances. Monitor temperature of load where required. Collections / deliveries: Liaising with the customer, in house transport department, suppliers on any delays, and to changes to planned route including unplanned stops and parking. Ensure paperwork is accurate and that POD’s are signed and legible and returned to the office. Vehicle defects: complete defect reports daily ensuring that they are accurate and any defects reported. Check vehicles are carrying correct equipment, including tools, drivers packs, bulbs and fire extinguishers. Loading and unloading vehicles: ensure vehicles are loaded and secured correctly, distributing the load suitably to the vehicle whilst ensuring H&S guidelines are adhered to. Ensure correct and relevant ID is on person at all times and displayed correctly. Ensure full uniform clean and presentable at all times and that PPE is worn as required. Assist the Warehouse / Transport department with additional duties during busy periods when required. Ensure vehicles are cleaned out after each shift and regularly cleaned and washed inside and out. Ensure personal hygiene is of a good high standard as you will be working in close proximity with colleagues and customers. Ad-hoc duties as and when required from time to time by management
